1st week at work, playing in the snow

So, I've been at work for a week now. Time is going fast already! I'm slowly settling in, remembering how to do things I haven't done for nearly 3 years and getting used to the way of working again.

We've also had our first UK visitor - it didn't take long! Alan, from our church house group back home, was at a Civil Engineering Conference last week but we spent the day with him on Sunday, which was great. The greatest part was Steph and I both beating him at table tennis!! (Alan is very good.) We went up to Cypress Provincial Park in the mountains north of Vancouver and trekked around in the snow for a while. Then we went for a drive in the rain and mist north towards Squamish, although we didn't get that far.

Steph is on the hunt for jobs right now, as well as looking for a new apartment for us for when our things turn up - should be mid June.

We're going to the zoo on Saturday and meeting up with some old friends we haven't seen yet.

Busy busy...
