I start work tomorrow

Yikes! We've been here almost a week and I have to start work tomorrow. Well, someone's got to earn some money! We took a trip today though, renting a car and spending the day on the North Shore. We had breakfast in Deep Cove at a cafe called Honey's, which we'd been to before and is great enough to be mentioned in Lonely Planet. then it was off up Mount Seymour for a hike. Only we drove up too far and the snow was still very deep under the trees. We went a little way before coming to a bridge over a stream. the snow of the bridge was about 2m deep! it looked like some people had walked across, but the risk of it collapsing and/ or us slipping of meant we turned around and didn't risk it! We drove down the mountain a little way and found another walk with less snow. then we headed off to Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. A free and slightly less spectacular version of Capilano Suspension Bridge that some of you may know. then we headed to the mall for a late lunch before taking a look at the Cleveland Dam, also on the North Shore. There's a huge lake there, as you'd expect and then a massive drop with white water rushing down the dam. Amazing.
